I have patella Alta which then caused me mid dislocation to tear acl meniscus and have the following
ACL: "Complete versus high-grade partial-thickness proximal tear." This is a significant injury. Proximal tears can sometimes be considered for repair techniques, but at your age and activity level, reconstruction is common for stability.
• Lateral meniscus: Probable radial tear in the body
— these often don't heal well on their own and can cause mechanical symptoms or accelerate wear.
• Cartilage/Bone: ~2 cm osteochondral injury with chondral defect + subchondral edema; full-thickness fissuring on the lateral patellar facet.
This is concerning for long-term joint health.
• Patella: Severe lateral subluxation (>10 mm) + patella alta — this contributes to instability and cartilage damage.
• Other: Large effusion, bone contusions, mild MCL
So disappointed and sick to my stomach.
