So to come at myself first, I know I am not a full on officer with multiple duty years on, nor do I alleged or act like it and I appreciate all training and teachings I can receive from my training supervisors/senior officers.

But I am frustrated with my new next phase field coach, I feel he is controlling every single word I say. I understand I am learning, but I completed a my previous phase and my coach essentially did nothing towards the end and told me I was doing exactly what I am supposed to do, keeping officer safety in mind, gathering info, and working paper in a timely manner.

This current coach, I feel is rushing to get things done because he always has somewhere to be. We have had some situations that I have not come across yet, and he gets frustrated I don’t already know how to do it. We all know the academy can teach you only so much, and the streets are different.

I guess my question is, how do the fine gentlemen in here, that have dealt with more difficult coaches, deal/dealt with it?

I want this job more than anything. I’m not looking for pats on the back, but it doesn’t make sense to rip me on a thing I have never been taught, then tell me I did fantastic that day and I know my shit 😂
