If he dies it will ruin the season for me. Does anyone else have a must survive character?

I am so grateful that I am lucky enough to be able to take medicine and get help. This runs in my family big time, and I can't help but think how hard it must have been for my ancestors who had thyroid problems and didn't even know what was wrong. My family history is full of depression and mental health problems and I wonder how much of it was untreated thyroid problems. Meds don't fix everything and it sucks to take them, but without them I would be lost!! Thank you science!!!
