There was a book I read in middle school a long time ago and I can't for the life if me remember what it's called.
I do remember that it was about a family with 2 sons who live in an overgrown shack house. Think the gaunt house from Harry Potter. They had a grandmother who lived in a nice house along some train tracks. The boys would walk down the tracks to visit their grandmother. I remember the grandmother passing away but when the boys walked down the tracks they still saw a figure standing in the upper window of the house. I don't think I had a chance to finish the book but I would like to.
I remember the front of the book was all blue with the figures of the 2 boys walking away from the camera on the train tracks.
any help would be appreciated.
