Oregon OSHA flush toilet requirement on construction projects?
Working on an Oregon construction project soon and I’m trying to confirm how this is actually being enforced in the field.
The above screenshot from Oregon OSHA 437-003-0020 appears to require flush toilet facilities and washing facilities with wash basins, warm water, and soap on construction projects estimated at $1M or more.
For those of you working construction in Oregon:
Are flushable toilet units actually being required/enforced or are standard porta-johns still commonly accepted?
I’m mainly trying to understand what’s happening in practice before I push this internally. Any GC/safety manager/site superintendent experience would be appreciated. I'm a Safety manager for a GC and this is my first project in Oregon so any info would be helpful.
