Google Photos Removed all of my Face Groups

So, a few days ago I opened my Google Photos app to find a picture of a friend. Somehow, every single face group I had created had been deleted/removed. I can not find that section of "People and Pets" in the collection tab either.

Also, I never have turned face grouping off. Every single group (including my own) just disappeared into thin air. Now, even if I manually "add a face" to a picture, it doesn't group the pictures of said person together (like it won't prompt me for "similar face or not" option like it used to).

Lastly, in the preference settings for Google Photos, where you can select "Face Labeled as Me", that option isn't working for me. Every time I click it, my screen goes into loading and a short prompt appears saying "There was a problem. Please try again later." It's been like that for a week or so. I've also tried to switch between Google Accounts to check whether my account's been glitchy, but the same applies for all.

I've tried everything: Clearing the cache, uninstalling the app, kept my app running in the background with Wi-Fi on, refresh it constantly, turn the face grouping off and then on.

I have more than 40k pictures backed up and it's really frustrating that I can no longer use that feature.

I would really, really appreciate any advice on this. Thank you for reading.
