BaM Class Discord Issue
Hi all, before you comment that I'm just whining and didnt read the rules, please hear me out as not being able to join your class discord is really de-motivating to want to play your class let alone maple. You cant ask questions or pick peoples brains/share ideas about class specific stuff and just feels like your left out which really sucks. Please be aware, that it is MUCH clearer if you go and check the discord now as they had edited the Rules and Directory section after I made it aware of my confusion.
Every discord server has a basic access check to stop bots and to make sure whomever is joining has read the server rules. In the BaM server however, they ask you a multiple choice question of how many times it says "Read the Guide." and if you get this question wrong, you are not allowed entry, permanently.
So here is my issue, I read the rules and in there it says it a total of three times. Once for the header, and then twice below it. I went over this several times to make sure. Much further down below the rules is a channel directory and description of each chat channel where it says "read the guide" a further two times.
When I first read the rules I thought the answer was either two if you don't include the header, or three if you do. So I put two as my answer. I got permanently denied access. I messaged a mod (which I understand the rules say not to do, but what other option do I have? If I don't enquire about it, then I stay perma banned...) he said he couldn't help. I then went on to read below the rules in the Channel Directory section (several scrolls down below) incase there was something else I could do to appeal, and saw it said it another two times even further down at the very very bottom. So I replied saying the answer was four. I was ignored, and then the rules were updated to have every "read the guide" underlined and in bold along with them adding lines scattered through out saying "two, is the wrong answer" and "the answer to the server question is not three."
So this was updated to be more clear right after I enquired about getting access again, and now that the header is underlined, the answer is much clearer to be five and not four.
I understand wanting people to read the rules, which I did. I misunderstood that it didn't mean just the rules section. I then misunderstood if the header counted or not. I feel like I'm being ostracized due to a misunderstanding rather than ignoring the rules. It also sucks that it was made much much clearer after my mistake, which causes me to believe me messaging made them realise it wasn't as clear as they thought it was, however, I'm still permanently banned.
So here I am, as a last ditch effort to be able to join a class discord for a mushroom game. Hands and knees BEGGING over here :(
