I was severely allergic to strawberries as a kid and just got over it one day.

As a kid I was allergic to a whole bunch of stuff from strawberries and bananas to eggs, etc. to the point where an EpiPen had to be nearby for my very young childhood. Towards early grade school my symptoms lessened and I haven’t yet found anything that puts me into anaphylactic shock (fingers crossed.) These days cats and other animals and pollen are the only things that make me swell up.

In the Fearless episode David mentions:
> “There's one sort of supernatural thing that happens in this movie, which is he can eat the strawberries, right? That's the one thing where you're like, okay, we're going a little beyond science here.”

Anyways, maybe Bridges had avoided strawberries long enough to have his symptoms disappear, or his heightened emotional state changed his immune system. I’ve never been in a plane crash though.

Real contender for least interesting post of the week but I was allergic to strawberries in a similar way and these days I can chomp a bowl no problem, so I finally have a personal connection to share on Reddit
