So I have a 2007 honda Pilot at 255,xxx miles and he been having issue with knocking noises coming from the left side of the engine. I took it to the mechanic two week after the noise started to appear, was barely driving it when the issue arose. Replacement would be around $1,000, should I bargain down to $900? Or is that a fair price?

I have a budget of $15,000 to buy a new car if needed be or I can get this repaired and ride it out until it’s death. What’s the best course of action here ? There also an oil leak, and I’ve had the steering pump replaced a year ago.
