Hey South Africa ! I wanted to ask something a bit different.

I have become really interested in old, traditional games from different countries. The kind people used to play before phones and video games became a thing. Not big sports like football, but smaller, local games. The ones people grew up with in communities, streets, or at home.

I feel like a lot of these games don’t get talked about much anymore, and I don’t want them to be forgotten. So I’d really love your help. If you know any traditional South African games, just the name is already helpful, I can google it out. If you can explain how it’s played, even better. Even a rough description is totally fine.

It can be anything: physical games, thinking or strategy games or a mix of both. Even something you personally played as a kid that people don’t really play now would mean a lot to hear about. My goal is to collect and document these so they don’t disappear over time. I feel like a lot of these games are slowly being forgotten, and I would like to preserve them somehow (for now just digitally).

Thanks so much, I really appreciate it 🙂
