I have been admitted to a master’s program in mechanical engineering at both Arizona State University and Texas A&M University (College Station), and I am unsure which to choose. I have heard that College Station is a relatively small and quiet town with fewer activities, which might feel limiting. However, Texas A&M is more prestigious and has stronger research opportunities, which aligns with my goal of pursuing a PhD. At the same time, I am concerned about the academic difficulty, as I expect it may be more challenging to achieve high grades. In either case, I am required to engage in research as part of my sponsorship.
