Why is it even a thing? The rest of the main flavors of jelly beans are all sweets or fruits, and then there's just BUTTERED POPCORN! It not only tastes nothing like buttered popcorn, but it tastes terrible and doesn't go with any of the other flavors.
I bought a bag of fruit flavored jelly beans from the store the other day, which you WOULD THINK would only have fruit flavors like watermelon or apple, but there was BUTTERED POPCORN in my FRUIT flavored bag!
It's even in the Bean-Boozled game, but why are we supposed to act like Buttered Popcorn is the "good" outcome when l'd rather eat the ROTTEN EGG flavor than voluntarily eat a Buttered Popcorn jellybean.
Every time I reach into a bag of jelly beans that features this flavor, I feel a bit of… fear? irritation? rage? that I’ll be unlucky enough to pick Buttered Popcorn. Anytime I take out a handful, I must INSPECT the jelly beans to make sure I didn’t grab a Buttered Popcorn, instead of just being able to toss them in my mouth and be pleasantly surprised by the mix of flavors, the way God intended jelly beans to be enjoyed.
Genuinely who likes these enough for it to come in almost EVERY bag of jelly beans?
