Background: 23 Years old. Germany. First car. Working, planning on continuing Abitur/University so the choice may or may not delay me going back to school another year.
Pros: Newer 2009. Wayy lower mileage, replaced a ton of parts and is a Japanese import. Looks to have been kept very well and with great care. Might have lower taxes and insurance (not sure, word of mouth) Highly tunable (if I ever wanted to). Better fuel economy at 7.9l/100km
Cons: Would involve me working a year longer to pay it off, which might shake the chances I have at higher education (not too sure yet), and the sound seems worse than the V6 overall. From what I gather it has an oil leaking problem, and has to be refilled very often, with the added risk of owning a turbocharged car that would be expensive to fix/upkeep.
Now for the TT S line V6: https://www.autoscout24.de/angebote/audi-tt-3-2-coupe-quattro-s-line-aut-t-leder-navi-pdc-benzin-schwarz-7e491c72-f910-4380-9b76-bde18ab805a8?utm_source=web-native-share&utm_campaign=share
Pros: Love the look of the black sky color on it, and the red calipers. Looks to be well kept. Cheaper, which might allow me to quit my job later this year and still pay it off so as to be free while pursuing further education. Love the sound of the V6. None of the oil problems, and more reliable long term. Parksensors are a nice touch. Euro 4
Cons: Older 2007. Significantly more mileage on it. Higher fuel consumption at 9,4l/100k. Higher taxes and insurance (again, not too sure yet). Has “Scheckheft”, as in, well documented services and visits to the mechanic, but haven’t read it yet so not sure if it’s changed as many parts as the TTs has.
If anyone can help me, I know it’s going to be this sub. Whichever I choose, I’m glad to know that I’ll be joining this sub in all of my many mistakes/problems I have yet to experience with either of these amazing cars.
P.S: I’ll answer any and all questions if it makes choosing easier.
