The Oregon State Bar is currently investigating attorney John Michael Meyers of Phillips, Traylor, Myers, Goodin, & Schroeder, LLP regarding false and disparaging statements he made in a court filing under oath.
I am reaching out to see whether others have experienced similar conduct involving false statements, misleading representations, or unethical behavior involving Mr. Meyers. If so, it is important that additional victims come forward and provide that information to the Oregon State Bar.
Powerful attorneys representing wealthy clients should not be allowed to bully or intimidate people simply because those individuals lack the financial resources to fight back. Accountability matters, especially for officers of the court.
