A boyfriend-girlfriend duo are stuck inside an impossible difficulty tutorial. Would you read a story like this?
Newer LitRPG author here.
As someone who doesn't read much LitRPG (probably a terrible thing to start off with while speaking about the LitRPG I'm writing. 😅) I was wondering, would the actual avid readers of LitRPG read this story?
I have nearly successfully (yet to be published officially) written a single story in the progression fantasy genre (a Xianxia), and now I'm trying to make my foray into the LitRPG side of progression fantasy.
Here is the working synopsis for my story:
Title: Surviving The Tutorial With An OP Girlfriend
Earth has been visited by a mystical force known only as the Game. Those chosen by it become Players, dragged into artificial worlds called Tutorials where survival is anything but guaranteed.
There are four recognized difficulties: Easy. Normal. Hard. Nightmare.
At least, those are the four sane people choose.
Beyond them all is a fifth difficulty known as Impossible. The name is *not* an exaggeration. It’s a reality.
No one survives the Impossible Tutorial.
Not a single Player has ever returned alive.
So when Mei Mori and Adam Colt are selected by the Game, there is one definitive choice everyone expects them to avoid. A difficulty treated as suicide. A challenge even veteran Players fear to speak about.
They choose Impossible anyway.
Thrown into a brutal world filled with evolving monsters, deadly modifiers, and impossible odds, the two are forced to fight for every scrap of survival. But while the Tutorial may be designed to kill them, Mei and Adam are far from ordinary.
One is terrifyingly talented, enough so to be deemed as the Main Character. The other is too stubborn to quit.
Together, they might just accomplish the impossible.
This is the story of humanity’s deadliest Tutorial… and the first Players with a real *shot* at conquering it.
(I was just thinking 🤔 I didn't add anything about the unique aspect of the characters and their classes in the synopsis... I need to fix that.)
Their unique aspects are:
Mei is classified as one of many main characters within the worlds under the Game's jurisdiction, as well as possessing a hidded class called 'Gunslinger'. Which, as the name suggests, deals with firearms.
Adam, on the other hand, is mocked by the system as Mei's sidekick and given a purely support based class called 'Shield Healer'. Though he's determined not to fall behind his girlfriend, whether she's the MC or not.
As I asked above, would you all read this story based off its synopsis?
I ask this because I'm really trying to make a career out of my writing and I need to know if I'm writing a flop out the gate or if I have the makings of something here.
So, advice would be greatly appreciated (and desperately needed...)
(Please disregard any typos and grammatical errors. I've had a grueling day at work and am far too tired to go through and fix them... 🙃)
