What kind of bot is that and why?
I’ve had a really odd experience on Vinted and I’m curious if anyone’s seen something similar. I’ve been trying to sell a pair of fairly expensive designer boots. Back in September last year, someone messaged me and we had a short interaction. The item didn’t sell, so I completely deleted the listing and relisted it in January. Almost immediately, I got the exact same message again from the same account. Word for word identical. I didn’t reply that time. I actually wanted to share this here on Reddit back in January when I got the second identical message, but now even more so 😆 I’ve relisted the boots again (new description this time, not copy-pasted), and today I received… the exact almost same message again from the same account.
What’s also weird is that this current listing has basically had no views at all,(these boots were very popular before) so I was already planning to relist it again, and the only activity it’s getting is this same account messaging me.
It’s been 9 months since the first message. The message is identical or almost identical every time. The account has no reviews (buyer or seller). They don’t follow anyone, no followers. They’ve never favourited the item, just messaged
The first interaction seemed kind of normal, but everything after that feels really off. I’ve been selling on Vinted for years and have over 500 sales, and I’ve never come across anything like this before.
Has anyone experienced something like this? What kind of bot is that and why? or just a very strange user?
