Control IC's power pin with cv ;

Hello all i want to see if anyone does this and has any shematics or any idea on how i can achieve this.

Im running on a 9v power supply, the chip i want to use is cd40106 it requires around 3 volts to start working.

I tried something with a transistor but didnt get enough range

Hello all im going to buy my first scanner i live in greece and i have some problems on which one to get, the icom ic r6 has a continuous scanning range but the bearcat has empty spaces, the bearcat has a keypad and a close call button (to find the nearest transmission).

I might have problems with the icom ic r6 not having a keypad.

Thanks, im waiting for your responses
