Is this the right product to finish a butcher block sink countertop? Do I need anything else?

I'm trying to make a sink here as an inexperienced young person with no one to ask for guidance.

...So I've purchased a 36x24'' cabinet, a 33x22'' over-mount sink and facet set, and now I'm trying to get wood to make the countertop.

I'm getting this wood I think: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DYDLSF7Y/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A2E4FQJBDMXUHO&psc=1

Will get it cut to 37x25.5 at Home Depot, then carve out the hole for the sink, then sand it and apply a finishing product.

Is this the right product for said piece of wood: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GL3JZ4X/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?th=1

I'm assuming the gloss finish is what I need? Do I need anything else?

I'm so lost here but bravely plunging ahead. Any advice would be much appreciated.
