I know this view will not be popular here, but I am being honest, as someone who successfully left the WT over 20 years ago. If you are PIMO, you are not really "mentally out". I know that sounds harsh. It is not intended to be, it is intended to be instructive.
For a period, being "PIMO" is acceptable, and even required. If you stay in that status on an open ended basis however, you will not grow. You will not only plateau, you will confuse yourself and likely eventually succumb to returning. I have seen it many times in my years out with others that thought they could simply not choose to believe in the JW BS and sit in the KH and play pretend. It is not natural to live such an all encompassing lie as such for an extended period, and it will be simply human nature to want to return to a stable state, even if that means swallowing a big lie.
I pretty much stopped reading all ex-JW forums back in 2016 (already out over 10 years at that time), because at a point it just holds one back. I checked in after I heard about the beard and FS reporting things a couple of years back, and come in and out. I have to admit, the use of terms like PIMO, PIMI, POMO, PIMI, etc. concern me a bit, since they are used as if they represent some type of reality. These terms didn't even exist when I left, or even 10 years after. They are not reality and will ultimately lead to poor development at best and a return to the WT at worst, if someone actually believes they can be "PIMO" for an indefinite period.
