Spotted at walmart

I was at Walmart a few weeks ago and found this for Earth Day. I don't know who thought this would appeal to kids but they sure know how to scare them at least.

Hey all, imma keep it brief since this should be an easy fix..

A friend and I made a bootable USB for Linux mint xfce, it works extremely well. However it will not install into the hard drive even though I ran the installation program twice. It goes through all the things necessary for it, but it won't boot without the USB. Instead it boots to a black screen and stays that way until i restart it with the USB. Any ideas what could be going on?

The computer in question is a Dell latitude 2120, but IDK how much that matters.
