IOCL RBL Xtra CC -> Krisflyer miles
I have a question for RBL Xtra credit card holders in this sub, how does the rewards points system work in the IOCL ecosystem. I discovered that you can transfer XTRA reward points to Krisflyer miles at 8:1 ratio and this credit card seems to be a very good option at earning those points (or am I wrong?)
So if my calculations are correct, you earn:
15 Fuel points/₹100
which converts to
25 Xtra reward points/₹100
which can convert to (hypothetically, this is the crux of my question)
4 Krisflyer miles/₹100
Is my assumption correct or am I missing something?
Because if my assumptions are correct this makes it a better deal than SBI base Krisflyer card which charges ₹3000 annual fees and has a lower base reward rate.
Yes I am aware that this calculation is only correct for fuel transactions at IOCL petrol pump and I am content with that because I hold SBI BPCL octane care and max out the points every month so if someone who has the RBL card can confirm this, I would switch to that card just for the miles because I can earn around 400 miles on fuel spends of ₹13k monthly.
Also for those who have this card, please check if you can actually convert your Xtra reward points into Krisflyer miles in the app or website.
PS. I am aware that the IOCL app is not working in its full mode since the war but it anyone had encountered this option prior to that, do let me know.
