I just got done beating this and wanted to share some intel as I’ve seen a ton of folks mention the team switch but no one talk about what happens after the first game.
1). I created a separate 88 ovr roster that I used in professional. I did this instead of a sub 70 cause I was worried that the last game they’d flip the sides again and I’d have to win with that potato farm of a team. They keep your squad controlled by the computer the whole time so you can likely potato away.
- I’m pretty sure they picked the teams in the rotation based on how screwy the playbook is: there’s a couple normal ones in there but just know you’re probably getting wishbone, veer and shoot or triple option for a game or two. I also ended up with some team who’s playbook was nothing but like iform and wide gun sets so you can’t even audible around in sets like that,
3). They randomly assign players without regard to playbook. One game I ended up with a pocket passer in a triple option offense. There was one pistol formation that kind of resembled a gun trips and I just lived in that the whole game.
Tl;dr: the gimmick in professional is that they switch sides on the user without telling you. To combat this you can finish the prior three seasons with your normal squad then roll out the potatoes for this one. Just be aware that the playbooks are insane and your personnel isn’t matched to the playbook. Good luck!
