When you sit down to actually work on it, what stops you?

Not the surface answer like 'I get distracted' or 'I don't have time.' I mean the real thing underneath. The actual reason you close the tab, pick up your phone, or tell yourself you'll start tomorrow.

Do you even know what it is? Or does it just happen automatically?

Genuinely curious because I keep seeing the same pattern and want to understand it better.

I am 18 years old, started with digital products 6 months ago. I chose a niche, didn't know my audience back at that time. I created 6 short ebooks (like 15-20 pages) on a chain of topics. Then i started posting content in my niche on Instagram hoping that eventually I'll get a buyer on my gumroad store. Everything was set (at least this is what I thought) kept posting for 5 months straight but still no sales at all.

What might have gone wrong ?

"Yeah we'll workout today." Cool. 4 hours later I'm somehow sleepy at 6pm.

"We'll post the reel today." Sure. Now it's 11pm and I'm doing it under pressure.

I never fully skip. I just delay until there's no choice left.

Here's what's actually happening :

Your brain commits when there's no immediate cost. But the moment action is required, it looks for an exit.

Sleepiness, "just 5 more minutes", suddenly remembering something else.

You're not lazy. You're just using deadline pressure as your only activation energy.

It works. But it makes every task feel like a fight you barely won.

Does this happen to you too or is it just me ?

Hey! guys I was randomly scrolling when i got this random question. What are exactly the things which ruin your discipline?

Like we all have our own goals, maybe you wanna learn some skill, start freelancing, starting a business and maybe you even start yet stop midway, so what exactly is the real problem for you ? Not able to start or you start but quit midway ?

I am really curious about your replies guys !

Hey everyone, I see tons of posts about knowing what to do (trading, business, workouts etc.) but not starting. I'm exploring an AI coach idea: You give a goal prompt, AI asks 1-2 clarifying questions, then spits out one dead-simple first step (e.g., 'Open Zerodha app, watch this 5-min video').

Examples:

Goal: 'Learn trading' → First step: 'Download Zerodha app + verify PAN (10 mins).'

Goal: 'Start gym' → 'Put workout clothes by bed tonight (2 mins).'

I ain't promoting any product here just wanted to know if you like the idea or not ?
