I'm trying to identify a film or TV movie I watched as a kid in Hungary, dubbed in Hungarian. Here's what I remember:

Hermits or monk-like figures emerge from underground, possibly from mine shafts or cave openings. The whole thing is filmed as if on a single hidden or fixed camera, giving it a documentary feel. The tone is mysterious and eerie, not violent, more unsettling and enigmatic. I watched it on Hungarian television so it may have been a European production. It could be from the 70s, 80s or 90s.

The image that stuck with me most is figures slowly coming up from underground, and the raw unpolished camera style made it feel very real and strange.

Any ideas?
