Need testers for App!!!! iOS and Publix users

Hey everyone — I’ve been building an app to solve something that’s been quietly annoying me for years: wasting food and never really knowing what I already have at home.
It’s called Shelflife, and it’s basically a smart home inventory + food tracker that actually works without being a pain to use.
The idea is simple:
You scan groceries (or receipts), and the app keeps track of what you have, where it is (fridge, freezer, pantry), and when it’s going to expire.
But the part I care about most is this:
It actually helps you use your food before it goes bad.
• Get alerts before things expire (not after it’s already gross)
• See everything you already have at a glance
• Generate meal ideas based on what’s in your kitchen
• Keep a shared household inventory so everyone stays in sync
• Build shopping lists based on what you’re running low on
I started this because I was constantly rebuying stuff I already had and throwing away food every week without realizing how much it added up.
I’m in the early testing phase right now and looking for people who want to try it out and give honest feedback (good or bad — I actually want to make this great).
If you:
• Forget what’s in your fridge
• Throw out food more than you’d like
• Or just want to be more organized with groceries
I’d really appreciate you checking it out.
Drop a comment or DM me and I’ll get you access 🙏

I’m a solo iOS developer working on an app called Shelflife, and I’m looking for a handful of honest testers who genuinely deal with food waste, forgotten pantry items, or always running out of basics.

What the app does today:

Tracks your groceries and home supplies (from receipts or manual entry).

Predicts when things are likely to expire or run out.

Reminds you what to use soon so it doesn’t go to waste.

Builds a shopping list for you when things are running low, with the goal of eventually sending it straight to Instacart / your preferred store.

My goal is to make your home feel like it’s on autopilot for everyday stuff in your kitchen and around the house, not just another manual inventory spreadsheet. I need people who will tell me what’s confusing, what’s annoying, and what actually feels useful.

What I’m asking from you:

Try the app on iPhone for 2-4 weeks.

Use it with your real groceries / supplies (even a small subset is fine).

Be brutally honest in your feedback — what you liked, what you hated, what you’d need for this to be part of your regular routine.

What you get:

Free access to the app while I’m in testing.

A direct line to me as the developer — your feedback will actually shape how the app works.

If this sounds like something you’d genuinely use (or want to see exist), comment here or DM me and I’ll send more details and a TestFlight link. If you’ve got any questions or concerns up front, I’m happy to answer them first.
