I had an interview that I thought went really well. I was told that I would hear back from the interviewer by the end of yesterday. She definitely stressed that I would hear directly from her yesterday. She also said we’d discuss next steps. There were other candidates, and she supposed to finish everything yesterday.

Needless to say, I haven’t heard anything yet. I can think of two scenarios:

1. I didn’t get the job, and they just lied
2. I did get the job, but they were consulting with HR about salary.
