im confused as to why the more expensive climing assistants i.e. hitch climber/akimbo dont let you pull from underneath, and dont automatically tend the line, which seems to be the method i would prefer for acending into a tree canopy(hip thrusting). is there an advantage to manually tending the slack? also what is the advantage to pulling from above the device as to below. any insight would be gold to me. thank you !!
