I (18F) have been suspecting that I may have a personality disorder, but I didn't want to be a bother to my doctors. To not bring up something that could just be nothing, I've been doing some research before bringing it up. The diagnostic criteria seemed to fit me, but wanted to find a good self-assessment tool before bringing it up.
Eventually, I took on May 1 the Personality Inventory for DSM-5 – Short Form (PID-5-SF), which only consisted of 100 questions. Then, I decided to take the full thing, just to make sure that I'm not going to look like an idiot for even bringing this up. Couldn't find an online version, so on May 6, I decided to just manually take and score the full 220 questions by hand.
After comparing them though, I scored lower on the full one & when looking even closer, I gave very inconsistent answers to the questions. Like, I would answer very/often false the first time, then answer very/often true the second time, or vice versa. I thought I was answering honestly each time, so am I just bad at assessing myself consistently or something?
