Hi everyone,

I’m preparing my application for a Belgian long-stay student visa (Visa D) and need to get travel health insurance that’s valid in Belgium for at least 3 months.

While checking Swisscare, I got a bit confused between two options:

- International Schengen Visa Insurance

- International Student Health Insurance Europe

I’m not in Belgium yet and only need coverage for the initial visa process and first few months (around 3 months). After arriving, I plan to switch to a local/student insurance there preffered/suggested by VUB.

Has anyone gone through this before or used Swisscare for a Belgium Visa D? Which plan did you choose or would recommend?

Would really appreciate any guidance. Thanks a lot!
