trade then degree?

Since I'd like to work more in the automotive department, would it be an investment to get a red seal as a automotive technician, and then get a mechanical engineering degree? I'd stick with being automotive technician if it wasn't so demanding on the body, so that's why I'm very interested in mechanical engineering, especially if it allows me to design cars, parts, etc,.

Year to train

In a year, I have a badminton tournament that I really want to place or win in. The issue is some people have quite the resources that I don't have. So I wanted to ask how I could improve as much as possible if I have access to courts for 2 hours for 2 days a week and what to do outside that time.
