Wait, so how does Biomod Oversupply and Perk Rerolling actually work?

Title. I recently beat the campaign the other day, but after starting a new one, I noticed I haven't gotten the ability to perk reroll, even though it said I did. It seems I was only able to get it after buying Biomod Oversupply, although I'm wondering if it has a different effect than what I'm thinking of.

I DID IT!

Yesterday I was asking for tips because I failed to cross the Abyss. This time, in one session, I went from my last checkpoint in Habitation all the way through to the end. This time I was using the Remote artifact, and it was really good to have; Ligament + Moon Rocks + Remote boost jumping helped me get away from Face a bunch of times after I ran out of rebar and flares.

God, my heart was pounding so hard. But I finally did it!

Tips for the Abyss? (and catalogue/rant of how my most successful run ended)

Title question, plus I kinda just wanna rant/catalogue how my most successful run so far ended last night. So a few days ago, I finally made it through Habitation Yellow and got to the final checkpoint, and grabbed the Spear as my artifact (other was the teleporter). Last night, I finally decided to try and clear the Abyss, with three saves going for me.

1st death: fell in the opening section after missing a handhold

2nd death: same thing

3rd death: the Face got too close to me while I was trying to Spear it and I ended up falling to my death

I got really far on my 3rd death, I got all the way to the Hanging Gardens and was making decent progress, but the anxiety of the Face chasing me got to me, and I basically accidentally jumped off the edge like a bozo. After that, my 4th and only life left sent me all the way back to the Service Shaft, but at that point I was so done I ended the run in favor of just starting over so I could try a different trinket.

As of my current run, which I left off on the Service Shaft checkpoint, I got the Moon Rocks + 30% jump + 25% regen, which honestly feels like a cheat code combo with how much vertical it gives me.

I'm decently confident I can clear Habitation again no problem, but I wanna know if there's any good tips for the Abyss if/when I return there, especially for dealing with the Face. Last run the Spear was clutch for driving it off, but idk if I'll get it again.
