Looking to see if anyone has experienced this exact scenario with their forward collision warning system not working. This started happening a few months ago where the warning light would come on and say the forward collision warning system was unavailable. At first, the fuse pull trick worked and would take care of the issue.
After a few weeks the light would come back on and the fuse pull trick would no longer work. I took it into the dealership and they recalibrated the system and said it was good to go. When I picked it up, the warning light was still on even though they said it wasn't after their testing. No worries, I believed them as I witnessed it myself turning off and on randomly.
In the weeks since, I seemed to narrow down a situation in which I could get it to work. I needed to turn my truck on, let it run for 5-10 minutes, turn it off, and then turn it back on right away. When I do this, the warning light does not come on and the system works as intended every time while I'm using any of the features.
The dealership wanted to replace the camera and I finally let them. Now, they are telling me they have the same issue with the calibration remaining at 94% before failing. They claim they have updated all other related modules as well.
Any ideas what's going on here?
(Yes this is someone else's image as I am not in front of my truck right now)
