Looking for a chair with specific qualities; not sure where to look
I sit funny when I'm at a desk; i tend to squat, kneel, tuck my legs underneath me, or curl up and let my legs rest on the desk in front of me while i watch videos or whatever.
So I'm looking for a comfortable chair that has an array of features that I don't think people usually search for and probably aren't associated with "office chairs" as conventionally understood: I want something that is low or can be adjusted to be low so that it compensates for the increased height from squatting; I want there to be a gap at the base of the back so I can tuck my feet into it if I'm kneeling; and I also don't want something with wheels because if i rest my legs against the desk i don't want to be pushed away from the desk. Swiveling tho is take it or leave it. I almost wonder if I would want a low armchair, or even a reception chair, rather than a desk chair properly speaking. For the past few years I've generally been sitting in a foldable upholstered chair intended for large scale audience seating, because it has a slanted back that is comfortable to rest against and a gap at the base of the back, but doesn't move at all.
