Paint peeling in 1957 house. Should I be worried about lead paint?
Just moved into this house 2 months ago that was built in 1957. I assume there is lead paint in it somewhere. Never got any confirmation. On the sellers disclosure they just said they didn’t know of any lead paint. We noticed a few pieces of wall that are chipping, but it looks really thin. Should we be worried about lead paint exposure? We have a toddler.

Klein Moisture Meter percentage readings
I got a Klein Moisture Meter ET140 to check for moisture from roof leaks in my ceiling. I get random readings throughout my house from 9 to 21 percent. None of the spots feel wet or damaged. At what point should I be concerned and investigate more?

I just bought a house built in 1957 with my wife and toddler in New Jersey. We didn’t paint yet, but the current paint isn’t bad so we are in no rush. Is it worth testing my paint for lead? I also don’t want any issues if we decide to sell the house in 5 years.
