Hey everyone,
I’m stuck choosing between two 24.5" high refresh rate monitors and could really use some real-world opinions.
Option 1: ASUS TUF Gaming (VG259QMRL5A)
– 1080p Fast IPS
– 310Hz, 0.3ms
– G-Sync compatible, HDR400, 99% sRGB
Option 2: KTC 24.5" 300Hz monitor
– 300Hz via DP 1.4 (240Hz on HDMI)
– 1080p Fast IPS
– 1ms MPRT, Adaptive Sync
– 119% sRGB, 350 nits brightness
– Height adjust, pivot, VESA mount
– 3-year warranty
On paper, the KTC actually looks really competitive, especially for the price. Specs-wise it doesn’t seem far off from ASUS at all.
For context, I mostly play CS2 and Valorant at around 320–340 FPS, so I’m trying to get something that actually takes advantage of that and feels as smooth as possible.
My concerns:
• I can’t really find solid reviews for this exact KTC model (Amazon/YouTube/etc.), which feels kinda sketchy
• Not sure how reliable KTC is in terms of panel quality, ghosting, backlight bleed, dead pixels, etc.
• ASUS feels like the safer, more proven option, but also more expensive
So I wanted to ask:
• Has anyone here used a KTC monitor long-term?
• Are the specs actually legit in real-world use?
• Is the lack of reviews a red flag?
• For competitive FPS, would you just go ASUS for peace of mind?
Would really appreciate honest feedback before I pull the trigger
