I'm a total noob at this. I've been looking at some of the Tdeck devices that have messaging support from the device and I'm wondering if there's a DIY option. My daughter is 8 and is interested to build something with me. I think it would be cool to build out two devices where she could walk across the street to the playground and text me from her device. Is that something that's possible as a project? I've been doing some searching and have found some etsy kits and a few other things, but I'm kind of hoping to buy some components, put it together, upload to the device, and then maybe 3D print some cases for it all. IDK.
