Moving from flats to pre-fold for a laundering service - tips?
I am looking for tips on switching from flats to pre-folds. My LO is just over 1 year old and we have been using Osocozy Bleached Birdseye flats with covers this past year. We have been using a simple pad fold for several months now and use 2 flats together for an overnight diaper.
We got a gift certificate for a cloth diaper laundering service at our baby shower and finally want to use it to reduce chores this summer. The only thing that contradicts our system is they use *pre-folds* (they supply, pick up, and launder them). They said they will give us 50-60 large pre-folds weekly and I need to ensure I use a cloth-friendly diaper cream (I use Desitin right now).
Do you have any tips for moving from flats to pre-folds? How does their absorbency compare to flats? Best way to "fold"/position it in the cover?
