I had another appointment today. I told him how much I have been struggling, how often I have diarrhea, how painful it is. We discussed how Bentyl is not helping (2nd time trying it) and how much Imodium I take. I was very clear that I needed to try a different medication because I am at my wits end. He told me he was writing me a prescription and that we were going to try something different. I believed him and stupidly did not get a physical prescription since they called it in to my pharmacy. This man wrote me a prescription for Loperamide. Loperamide is Imodium. The very same thing I told him I already take tons of and have for YEARS! What is different about that?
I’m so mad. My family members think I should call him tomorrow and tell him that this is not what we discussed and that I need something else but I am seriously considering just never going back to him. I’m so upset. Can you even call a doctor and demand different medication?
