Hi everyone, I’m a 19F and yesterday I experienced a subluxation of my left hip that spontaneously resolved about 45 minutes later. I’m doubled jointed in my elbows, knees, hands, and I believe I have slipping rib syndrome (literally just in certain postures I feel like one rib is under another and I can pop it back out), but never officially diagnosed. I wasn’t ever really concerned about my double jointedness until last night where I was left immobile and in great pain. I also have dermographism which I learned was a potential symptom of MCAS which commonly cooccurs with hEDs. It seems like getting a diagnosis is rather difficult and that treatment is generally physiotherapy. If I actually do have hEDs, it seems pretty minor. So, in y’all’s experiences is getting a formal diagnosis worth it? Or is this something that I could learn to manage on my own?
