Search for 80s/90s Song by Male Duo
Awhile back I was listening to KEXP and heard I song I really liked. I think it was a well known song in the country of origin. I have now have forgotten the name of the song and artists.
I believe it was released in the late 80s/early 90s sung by two men who I think were from the Caribbean, Central or South America. It was not reggae. The two men singing the song produced some songs together and some on their own.
The song in question starts off with one man singing/rapping then the other transitions in and takes over. You almost dont realize at first there are two people singing. I remember more of a ascending/rythemic drum beat. The video was close ups of each man, and shots together and scenes of daily life and people walking down the street. There was a woman with red lipstick walking amongst the crowd. I didn't understand the lyrics but it had a somewhat uplifting rhythm but somewhat serious vibe.
