Moving into childhood home after my dads passing and it need A LOT of work
Hi everyone. My family and I are moving into my childhood home and it needs a lot of minor (and major) repairs. Before my dad passed away he struggled with his mental health and completely neglected the care of our home and it’s been hard for my mom to learn how to do everything.
There was a family friend living in the home for the past year and he did not take care of much either. There is a lot of half completed jobs around the house mainly the bathrooms.
My husband and I are completely clueless on handy work and how to take care of a home, but we’re both excited and willing to learn. I just don’t know where to start!
I have no idea how serious any of these repairs are, I would love to do as much as we can on our own.
Can anyone maybe point me into the right direction on how to fix some of these things by photo alone? This is a very gorgeous house, which deserves to be loved!
We are located in the Bay Area, CA, so also everything is expensive lol. Is anything diy-able?😭
