My Team

I'm super duper happy rn!! I'm very new to competitive pokemon. I literally bought a second hand switch just to play this game!! (I blame Wolfey. His videos are so fun to watch!)

I used a mega venusaur team to get here and I also made a YouTube video breaking it down. I'm still making a lot of misplays but I sometimes realize them right after choosing the move, which I think the game should allow you to go back! You can after selecting the move for your first pokemon but not the second and I don't like that at all!

That being said, feel free to checkout the team and also give me your feedback on my decision making process after watching my gameplay. I can definitely improve a lot! I just don't know all the moves and items yet. I'm mainly playing to win the type matchup to deal super effective damage.

Yeah that's it! Very happy rn. Thanks for listening to my TED talk :D

Edit: This is in the global challenge tournament. Ranked in much harder 😭

Hi everyone,

Over the past week, Ive been learning how to play the game. Got a second hand switch lol just for this game. I didn't expect to learn so much so quickly. It was very daunting before I started, the calcs, moves, statuses. There's so much!!

For other beginners like me, I think focusing on playing with teams that are already successful helps a lot in learning the most common moves against meta teams. I still keep type chart open when I play for the team select phase and I type all the moves into google that I see for the first time.

Most of the pokemons I have are traded! I'm missing about 60 pokemons still but the people here are really nice! With both giveaways and trades!! People are trusting enough to trade za pokemons for meganl stones and then trade them back. Thank you everyone for being so welcoming to newbies.

All that being said, I would love to share my gameplay with you all and get your feedback. Could be on my playstyle, decision making, video editing skills or my misplays. I'm happy to learn from all of you!!

Thank you for watching in advance and I also added the rental code for the team in the video description if you want to use it too!! :D
