Referring to several EQs online as well as some of the presets, I was able to create an EQ I feel is:

1. Still warm, non fatiguing and non sibilant on most tracks
2. fairly balanced but still dynamic in the low end with more texture in the bass
3. much better separation and soundstage
4. recovering higher frequencies in the 8 KHz region
5. overall headphone volume gain is preserved

I believe the treble still needs some work, but I am happy so far with the sound.
