I accidentally purchased these twice and I'd rather sell the spares at a loss than deal with trying to ship them back to UKSG in ukraine. These are the progression for sharpening stones that I generally recommend, some are CBN, most are diamond. I just bought what was in stock since I don't have a strong preference between diamond and CBN.
Jens Anso Toko - $800 shipped
Anso is my favorite maker so I had to check out the toko. This one with the crosscut micarta inlay and bronze backspacer is super gorgeous. Can't say I'm at all disappointed, I just don't collect knives in the price range anymore. I purchased directly from Anso and it has been carried a couple times. Some tiny marks on the backspacer, but mostly pristine with the factory very sharp edge in tact. Comes with the box, but I don't think Anso does CoAs. Woops, it does come with a CoA, thanks to someone for pointing that out. Picture of CoA provided in google drive.
GEC Mexican Bocote Boys Badge - $120 shipped
Bought new from TSAknives. Has the factory mediocre edge on it and has been carried a few time. Some scratches on the blade and handle but overall in good condition. Nice action and the bocote is gorgeous. Like the rest of the GECs on this list, I'm just not really interested in slipjoints besideds Mike Moran customs these days. Comes with the tube and badge.
GEC #88 Bayou trapper Cocobolo blade delete - $150 shipped
Probably my favorite GEC of all time. This one has been modified by slipspa on IG with a blade delete to take it from a 2 blade design to a single blade. I let him keep the lambsfoot, so extra blade not included. The attitude of the blade makes this one so nice to use. Do note that the blade has some scratches from being in the jig for modification. Same mediocre GEC factory edge in tact. Comes with the tube.
GEC AAPK Mexican Kingwood - $140 shipped
Gorgeous ramsfoot blade and mexican kingwood handle. This one was bought used and sharpened so unlike the other two factory edge knives its actually sharp. Some scratches on the blade and handle, I've carried it a few times too. Overall good condition and comes with the tube an CoA.
