I live in the north east so my pool season is already limited. We heat our fiberglass saltwater pool but lose a lot of heat over night or days we are not home to swim. I have been looking into a solar cover to conserve energy. Has anyone come up with an alternative to the bulky reel? I don’t want to lose patio space when an 18 foot contraption. The pool area is completely fenced in so I can’t really move it out of the way. Has anyone found a way to hang the cover to free up space? An automatic cover is not an option.
