Another one bites the dust? Calling Corsair tomorrow.

Nvidia 5090 FE
Corsair SF1000, type 5 connectors

  1. All connectors were snapped in, the latches were over the notch at the GPU and at the PSU end.
  2. Cable is, as far as I can remember, the one that came with the power supply.
  3. Plugs were all pushed in snug.

The connector in the photo is fused at the power supply I cannot remove it.
The pins at the GPU end on the cable connector seem to be burnt, at least 3 of them show signs of turning dark color evident in the photo.
The GPU end appears to have suffered minimal, if any damage. The bottom right most pin seems to be slightly darker, but there is nothing else I can find going on there no plastic melting.

Taking payment on coinbase

I may receive payment for a nvidia gpu from an international client via crypto. Tether or usdc. No, its not a scam.

I want to sell for USD immediately and then off ramp it.

How does the system figure cost basis for this and my capital gain or loss on the sale to usd? Is it automatic?

Seems dumb I have to even be concerned about this. The cap gain or loss here is going to be less than 50 cents. :/
