I would like to start by saying I do not have sleep Apnea. I have tried several diets for years, both moderate and extremes. I have not worked a heavy labor job in a decade and it has remained the same. I do not sleep walk, having to use the bathroom doesn't wake me I have no problem holding it even if I drink massive amounts of water and hour before bed. Sleep aids don't work, and I do not have problems falling asleep, I can sleep anywhere in any position. Naps don't work, and if I take a nap no during directly sunny days I sleep for 2+ hours. I am 39

I tend to sleep 10-14hours before waking. When I wake I am clear headed and in a good mood. Sound does not really work in waking me up, a screaming meanie worked for a few weeks then my brain started ignoring it after around 3 weeks, and then I was just waking up with ringing ears and a headache. Smart lights worked for about a month, then I doubled and t and double again the brightness to. From 4,800 lumens to 30,000 lumens. Again just a headache when waking. I played with color temps. color temp progressions.

The only things that wake me up physical touch, which like the other things fade in effectiveness over time. Even the Pavlov Show Clock thing worked for less than 2 months. And the Sun, that's why I tried the lights, but the sun is the only thing that works consistently.

Maybe its just because I am getting old and death is nearing ever closer, I am feeling reserving half my day for sleeping is starting to rob me of what life I have left. And looking back on what it has already robbed me of, starting to get resentful of the time already lost and problems it has caused.

Edit: Too add to the sun being the only thing to wake me, I generally vacation fairly much closer to the equator and after about a week, My sleep starts becoming more normal with the consistent sunrise times. Took me like 7 years to realize that was the reason I loved my vacations so much. Seriously been trying to figure out how to live in a country in that region of the world just to have a better quality of life. But obviously everything in a 40yr life is here in my home country.
