I’m just wondering how many phones you are allowed to take into Turkey, as I’m going to Istanbul soon.

I can’t find a clear answer on this, as some, seemingly official, websites seem to say only one, but then I’ve seen conflicting information online saying you can take more than one...

I obviously want to comply with the rules, as I don’t want to have any issues at customs etc. The worst case scenario being I have one of my phones confiscated at the airport, which is concerning, as I have seen that mentioned once online.

Please advise!

Just trying to get some advice on whether it’s safe to travel from the UK to Istanbul right now.

The UK government website now advises against all travel to Turkey, which shows they believe the threat level has increased since I last checked - perhaps a month ago.

However, I’ve checked the equivalent US and Canadian websites and they only advise against travel near the Syrian border, which is what the UK website advised prior to this update.

I have a trip coming up and I’m not sure what to do…

I would really appreciate any advice to help me decide.
