Is it just me or does The Evil Within 2 Have An Extreme Downgrade In Quality Once You Reach Union
Was looking for a game to scratch that survival horror itch after beating the Resident Evil franchise, Silent Hill franchise and even Alan Wake 2. I had my eyes on Tormented Souls 2 and The Evil Within 2 (played 1 - never beat it)
So anyway, been playing Evil Within 2 and the beginning of the game was really good all the way up until I got to Union. The museum looked amazing! But then you get to the town and it just goes from AAA (kinda) quality to App Store generic zombie cash grab.
For some reason, the game immediately felt like a mobile game and then I felt that there was a notable graphical downgrade. Even the supposed “zombies” felt cartoonish. The whole thing really made me lose all immersion. Also my Union is hella bright for some reason.
Does it get better because I wanna give it a good chance, If not, I’ll just go back to Slitterhead.
PS. I’m on PC and I spent 20 minutes removing unnecessary cartoonish hud assets and making sure the graphics were the best they could look. WHY IS THERE NO TEXTURE OPTION BTW!?
