[Verizon/US Google Pixel (Android)] Anyone able to help me understand why I was charged a a daily TravelPass, and how to avoid in the future?
So I used Ubigi and went to Italy. Everything worked great with Ubigi for data. However, of course I cannot call or text. I read I would be able to use RCS since it would use Ubigi's data.
What I did was enable my Verizon SIM, but have Roaming turned off. I also had turned off data switching, so it would only use Ubigi for data. But it would use Verizon sim for texts and calls (which I assume would use Ubigi's data).
However after enabling the Verizon sim, I would get a text from Verizon saying that my travel pass was active for the day. If I did text, I always made sure it was via RCS which I assumed was not going to use my Verizon sim.
In the past with my wife's iphone, we locked the Verizon sim, so we could still use iMessage but the sim was not turned on. Is there an Android equivalent way? That is what I was attempting to do with my method.
I also have Wifi calling on.
